One room, many moods
We started Room Moods because we kept doing the same thing at home: staring at a perfectly fine room and wondering what it would feel like in a different style. Calmer? Cozier? A little moodier? Paint is a big commitment. A pillow swap isn’t.
So that’s the idea. We take one room and show it several ways. Japandi, Boho, Coastal, Dark & Moody, or the same space dressed for winter and then for summer. Same walls, same layout, different feeling.
What you’ll find here
Along with those side-by-side makeovers, we write idea lists, step-by-step how-tos and shop-the-look roundups. We cover the living room, bedroom, kitchen and dining area, bathroom, entryway, home office, balcony and patio, and small spaces of every kind.
Many of you rent, and so do some of us. That’s why you’ll often see a renter-friendly version of a look: no drilling, no paint, and swaps that usually come back off when you move out (test anything sticky in a hidden spot first). Honestly, some of our favorite tricks are the ones you can undo in an afternoon.
A note on our images
Some of the room images on this site are AI-generated or AI-edited. It’s how we can show the exact same room in five different styles without rebuilding it five times. We use them to illustrate ideas, not to pretend a room exists somewhere. If you want to recreate a look, treat the image as a mood board and the product links as a starting point.
